Today, Patterson Services, Inc. offers a wide range of services and rental tool equipment including, but not limited to, hevi-wate, drill pipe, drill collars, handling tools, high pressure blowout preventers and manifolds, tubing (1 ” to 4 ½”), capping stacks, diverter systems, and well control equipment, including snubbing and stripping stacks. We also carry a complete line of hammers, casing equipment, laydown machines, tubing tongs (and tong operators for our torque turn equipment), tong trucks and the crews to run hammer and casing jobs. The dynamic growth of the company has always been based on an unwavering commitment toward personal service and equipment that today has no equal.

The Company’s early commitment to quality, customer service, and safety has evolved into specific programs of which we are extremely proud.

Safety Program

Management has been, and continues to take, a Pro-Active approach in accident prevention and training. Our goal is to have a trained staff of employees to provide a quality product and service with the highest emphasis on safety and the environment.

Patterson is proud to announce that it has recently expanded its Safety Department. Additional personnel have been added in an effort to:

Increase safety awareness
Increase training
Monitor fieldwork
Perform Root Cause Analysis Investigations
Conduct Safety Audits
Conduct Drug and Alcohol Programs

To enforce our commitment, upper management reviews all accidents and makes all managers accountable for their actions and performance. We have stepped up our internal audits for safety and have employed third party auditors to point out areas of concern. Our Quality Improvement Program and committees meet periodically and review new and existing suggestions from the employees of the company. There is a strong emphasis in reporting all defects, whether it is safety, environmental or quality related. All accidents are reported immediately and investigated by our management and the Safety Department. We believe it is extremely important to have input from our employees to ensure continued growth and development.

A major component of Safety with Patterson is the drug and alcohol program. Patterson randomly tests approximately 50% of its workforce yearly. The Safety Department maintains a drug and alcohol awareness certification, so that it can identify potential problems. All positive test for drugs result in immediate termination. We are putting forth our best efforts in providing a “Drug Free Workplace.”

Patterson has made a substantial investment in computerized interactive training for our personnel. It provides us with many conveniences, such as documentation in the employee’s database and proof of understanding on behalf of the employee with regards to specific subjects. A training matrix has been formulated for each job classification, specifying each training program that an employee must complete. We now require that all new hires complete the training matrix prior to starting their regular job duties. This will provide a well-trained employee who is safety conscious.

ISO 9000

Patterson Services, Inc. was awarded its ISO 9002 Quality System Certificate on September 23, 1998. This achievement was certified by Det Norske Veritas (DNV). It is the first such certificate issued to a company for “rental of oilfield equipment and services.” Our certificate number is QSC-6994 and is accredited by RvA.

An ISO 9000 Quality System entails documentation of our company’s operating system. These requirements are published in our Quality Manual, System Procedure Manual, Work Instructions Manual, and Job Description/Training Book. Our system is audited twice yearly, internally, and once a year externally. All quality records are controlled and maintained by the Director of Quality Systems and are available for review at any time.

Patterson Services, Inc. is currently ISO 9001:2000 certified, a designation which helps put us above the competition. This certification along with management’s commitment to maintain ISO standards, further establishes our leadership role in the industry and allows us to distance ourselves from our competitors.
