Patterson Rental Tools offers a variety of rental equipment including drill pipe and blow-out preventers. Our equipment is available from our store locations in Elk City, OK, Alice, TX, Broussard, LA. and Rock Springs, WY. We inspect all tubulars, subs

and handling tools as a matter of Company policy – not just when customers request it. All tubing is hydrostatic tested as well. Every joint of pipe and every drill collar is assigned an individual "P" number. All of our pipe and drill collars are inspected before every job, utilizing this "P" number for identification. Numbers are recorded with each and every movement of every joint of pipe. Numbered inspection reports are available to our customers for every job.

Drill Pipe and Drill Collars

Over 70,000 joints of pipe are available from Patterson Rental Tools. Our equipment includes, but is not limited to:

Premium drill pipe – 2 3/8” to 5 ½” OD, including the newly added 3 ½” BN High Torque drill pipe
3 ½ to 5 ½ Heavy Wate Drill Pipe
1” to 4 ½” Tubing
Drill Collars, including plain or spiral designs 2 7/8” to 10” OD

Blow-Out Preventers

Patterson Rental Tools has over 200 blow-out preventers. Sizes range from 2 9/16 5M Single Bowen up to 30" 500# Hydril diverter.

Cleaning and Inspection

All of our tubulars are inspected and cleaned for reliable performance.

Services include:

Pipe straightening
Box and pin connections are cleaned and visually inspected for damages
For tubing, box and pin connections have been checked with make-up gauges
Pipe and tubing have been O.D. brushed and ID blasted or rattled
Tubing has been drifted full length with a 42 inch API drift
For small pipe, all slip and tong bites have been ground flush with tube
All cuts have been checked with depth gauge to insure 80% remaining wall
All dents have been checked with a 3% mash gauge
For small pipe, pipe has been internally flint-blasted to insure that it is rust and scale free
Pipe and tubing have been electromagnetically inspected for transverse defects
Wall thickness on pipe and tubing have been verified with an Ultrasonic thickness gauge
For small pipe, pipe has been coated internally and externally
Small pipe has been hydrostatic pressure tested to manufacturer's recommended PSI
2 3/8 to 4 1/2 large OD tubing has been hydrostatic pressure tested to 10,000 PSI, with higher pressure testing available at the customer's request
For tubing, A.P.I. High Pressure Tubing Thread Dope is applied to Box and Pin connections
Plastic Box and Pin Protectors installed on pipe

All equipment is carefully maintained by our experienced personnel. We also inspect and test our equipment to meet or exceed API specifications prior to delivery to your location.
